Micah Hutchins was born in Gainesville, Florida, on December 1, 1996. In 2000, he moved with his family to Blue Ridge, Virginia, where he spent much of his childhood. Growing up as one of eight siblings, Micah was homeschooled and filled his days playing soccer and basketball, building forts in the woods behind his home, and making homemade videos with his family.

At fourteen years old, Micah discovered a passion for storytelling and began writing in his spare time. By seventeen, he had completed his first novel, Invasion: Book One. He soon followed it with a sequel, Invasion: Book Two, as well as a collection of short stories written for his future nieces, nephews, and children.

Shortly after his nineteenth birthday, Micah left his childhood home in Blue Ridge and moved north to Martinsburg, West Virginia. Not long after the move, he created his own website, where he began sharing chapters from his novels and posting new short stories.

On May 7, 2018, Micah married his wife, Katelyn. In early 2019, he began developing the artwork and ideas for what would become his most ambitious fictional world yet, The Divide. Once the artwork was complete, he began bringing that world to life through writing.

After completing The Divide, Micah continued expanding the series with The Divide – Alliance, The Divide – Betrayal, The Divide – Aftermath, and The Divide – Patriots. He also explored the history of the world through two prequel series, The Courier and The Ranger. With an ever-growing world and cast of characters, Micah plans to continue telling stories set within The Divide universe for years to come.

In October 2021, Micah and Katelyn welcomed their first child, a daughter. The following summer, Micah and his family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where he continues to write and develop new stories. Their family grew again with the birth of their son in October 2023 and another daughter in 2026.

While The Divide remains a major part of his writing, Micah is constantly developing new ideas, characters, and worlds that he hopes to publish in the future. Outside of writing, he enjoys his career and, most importantly, spending time with his friends and family.
